“I know, and I wouldn’t want to!” Sabrina answered calmly. She turned around without looking at him and went straight ahead back to the ward.

She did not owe Sebastian anything. He might have lent her $50,000 USD but it could be repaid once their contract ended. Although he once saved her life from kidnappers, he did so only for his mother’s sake.

There was no need for her to act submissive in front of him, knowing that she was far from being in his debt. All she wanted was to be herself and offered whatever comfort she could to Aunt Grace during these last moments of her life.

The two remained distant from one another but were aware that they still had to put on a show for Grace once they stepped into the room. Sebastian threw his arms around Sabrina at the door, and Sabrina leaned into it, looking more in love than ever.

Grace looked at the two with delight as they stepped in and reminded her son, “Sebastian, the both of you need to work a little bit harder for a baby.”

Before Sebastian could respond, Sabrina looked back at Grace with a sweet smile and said, “Don’t you worry, Mother. I am dying to have a baby of our own, too. I had been taking my temperature every morning and keeping track of my menstrual period, anything to help us prepare for a baby. However, you know that sometimes these kinds of things happen in their own course, it’s up to the Gods!”

Her tone was sweet and shy at the same time, which had Grace instantly grinning from ear to ear with excitement.

“Hey, Sebastian. Do you think it’s possible for our future baby to look like Mother? Mother is incredibly beautiful, after all,” Sabrina turned around and cocked her head to the side innocently as she looked up to Sebastian.

“..” For a split second, Sebastian was shocked and speechless.

“Sabbie, my son had always kept his thoughts to himself since he was a little child. You would think that speaking his mind would kill him,” Grace smiled teasingly, and Sebastian nodded with a smile in response.

“Alright, Sabbie, Sebastian, it was a wonderful day. As much as I wanted to keep the two of you by my side, I know you both are busy with work, and I don’t want to take away the little time you had to enjoy as newlyweds. You two should head back now and get some rest. A healthy lifestyle is the most important thing if you want a baby. Off you go!” Grace ordered decisively.

“Mother, I still want to be here for a little longer,” said Sabrina. She would much rather not be alone with Sebastian.

“Be good, now. Hurry along and go!” said Grace.

The two left after saying goodbye to Grace after seeing that she would not compromise. The smile on Sabrina’s face disappeared instantly when they stepped out of the ward as she began to walk and kept a distance from him.

He was cold, and she, too, remained detached. Sabrina showed no intention of stopping when they walked past Sebastian’s car and headed towards the hospital exit. She didn’t think for a moment that Sebastian would offer her a ride home after all.

However, Sebastian grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back before saying, “What would happen if my mother was watching us from behind? You couldn’t afford a risk like that!”

Sabrina couldn’t find the words to argue and went into his car in resignation. The two traveled wordlessly and even Kingston, who was driving, dared not to break the ice.

Sabrina spotted Selene waiting by the door from a distance as soon as they arrived at Sebastian’s place.

“Master Sebastian, am…am I interrupting something? I, I am so sorry, I couldn’t help myself from wanting to see you. I needed to see you, I would go after this,” Selene looked piteously at Sebastian and Sabrina as they approached.

Sabrina was unimpressed with how miserable and humble she sounded and proceeded to walk straight into the elevator without bothering to cast a look over to Selene. Sebastian, who was left behind, stared daggers at Selene as though he was disgusted by her and said, “Well? You saw me. You may go!”
