Selene sat on the round stool and was looking at Sebastian with admiration. The way Sebastian looked as he placed one arm on the edge of the couch, crossed his long legs, and clutched a flickering cigar in his hand gave others a cold and heartless feeling.

The coffee table between the two of them had several exquisite desserts on it.

Macarons, soufflés, chocolate crumbles, and Sacher tortes. Each one was tiny and could be eaten in one bite.

However, each of them would cost ten to $20 USD per piece.

Selene’s favorite was the peach pudding.

Sabrina had never eaten such delicate and lovely little desserts, but she recognized most of them.

When she used to live in the Lynn family, she often saw Selene eating them.

Selene grew up with a good life from a young age. If Selene wanted something, Lincoln and Jade would satisfy her. Now, Selene has a wealthy and powerful boyfriend like Sebastian. Sebastian would also buy everything to let her eat as she liked.

Sabrina subconsciously took a gulp. She was very hungry.

It was uncertain if the sound of Sabrina’s gulp was too loud or if she had been staring at Selene for a long time. Selene turned around and saw the awkward Sabrina at the entrance.

When their eyes met, Selene’s eyes were filled with both provoking and arrogant expressions.

Selene and her parents were also frightened to death.

They spied on Sebastian at the hospital for a long time. When they found out that Sebastian went into the emergency room and physically cooled Sabrina, they were even more terrified.

The three of them anxiously sat in the car for a few hours. When they were at a loss, they saw Sebastian walk out while on a call. Sebastian coldly said on the phone, “The medical expenses were paid for her in advance. Let her pay for the rest by herself!”

It seemed that Sebastian saved Sabrina because she had some usage for his mother and nothing else.

Selene stood and waited pitifully outside of Sebastian’s residence in the afternoon. The moment she saw Sebastian return, she immediately went up to him and said with utmost sincerity, “Darling Sebastian, how is Sabrina? I know your mother couldn’t leave Sabrina, so you must save Sabrina.”

“What are those in your hands?” Sebastian asked her.

“I… I heard that your voice was a little hoarse this morning. I was afraid that you had a cold, so I went back and bought a chicken myself to make chicken soup for you. Chicken soup can prevent colds and flu. I brought it over right when it was done. Darling Sebastian, you could take this up and drink it while it’s hot. Well…I’m leaving now.” Selene handed the small thermos to Sebastian, then turned around to leave.

Sebastian pulled on her arm. “Have you eaten?”

He recalled that she waited here at the door all night yesterday.

Selene said, “I…..have. I have eaten.” She swallowed her saliva after she said that.

The man tugged her arm and sent her to his car, then personally drove her to buy some desserts.

Selene’s heart has melted.

Although Sebastian was cold and vicious, he still cared for her in his heart.

The desserts were plated, and Selene took advantage to act cute in front of Sebastian. She wanted to stay overnight.

However, it was such a coincidence that Sabrina came back right at that time.

Selene glanced at Sabrina with an arrogant gaze, then continued speaking explicitly to Sebastian, “Young Master Sebastian, I…Sellie truly missed you very much…”

Sabrina wanted to plug her ears, but she could not.

She wanted to close the door to leave, but it was already too late.

She bit the bullet and walked inside and was met with Sebastian’s stern and hostile gaze.

“Hey Sabrina, you’re back. Darling Sebastian said that you were sick. You must recover soon. My Darling Sebastian’s mother still needs your care.” Selene looked sweetly at Sabrina.

Sabrina’s face was pale as she had only recovered from the fever.

She had not eaten much for a whole day since last night. She was initially thin, but failure to have meals made her eyes appear more sunken.
