Read Punished by His Love by Suzie Chapter 46
“We’ve been through many hardships to be where we are today. I have endured sufferings that are beyond his imagination to protect him. Likewise, to protect me, the counterattack that he struck up was also something beyond my imagination as a mother. Sebastian has made a lot of enemies along the way to achieve his success today. If he found out that I longed for the land of the Ford Residence, Sebastian would let me move in at all costs. I didn’t want him to make a big fuss for me.” Grace’s tone was regretful, but it was more accurate to say she felt sorry for her son. However, Sabrina heard the loneliness of a woman’s life in it.
Grace had never worn a wedding dress and had never been recognized by the Ford family in her life. Grace still could not fulfill her wish because she had layers of concerns even though her son had control of everything now.
How similar could the fate of Grace and Sabrina be?
They both were pregnant out of wedlock.
Grace had been alone her whole life, and Sabrina would probably be alone for the rest of her life as well.
Sabrina could not help but feel extra sorry for Grace.
“Mom, I will see you tomorrow, and I will bring you your favorite porridge. Wait for me tomorrow morning,” Sabrina smiled and said on the phone.
After she hung up, Sabrina took out Marcus’ name card from her bag and called the number on the card.
The phone rang for a long time before it was connected.
The polite voice of a woman came from the other end of the phone. “Hello, may I know who this is?”
“Uh… I… Is this Mr. Marcus Shaw’s number?” Sabrina asked.
“Yes. Director Saw is in a meeting. I am his secretary. May I know if there’s anything that I could help you with?” asked the person on the other end.
“No, thank you.” Sabrina knew that Marcus was deliberately hiding from her.
He gave her his name card and asked for her number. It was all just a show put on by a rich guy at the banquet.
However, she asked to borrow money the moment she opened her mouth.
It would be odd if such a direct method did not scare people away.
Sabrina hung up the phone and left the ward after she packed up her bag. When she arrived at the hospital entrance, she saw Sebastian’s assistant, Kingston, standing there.
Kingston had a stern expression and did not say a word.
Sabrina did not think that Kingston was specifically here to pick her up. She thought she would not have such privilege, so she did not even have the idea to initiate a greeting with Kingston. She walked past Kingston and went straight towards the direction of the hospital’s bus stop.
Kingston was speechless.
He could not imagine that a bold and clumsy scammer could still be so indifferent towards everything.
Sabrina and Selene were truly different.
Although Selene was the woman that Young Master Sebastian would marry in the future, Kingston could tell that Sebastian did not like Selene. Kingston, also did not like the bossy way Selene behaved.
Sabrina was different.
Kingston knew that Sabrina approached Madam and Master Sebastian with an agenda in mind, but he did not hate Sabrina.
He drove his car to the front of Sabrina and said with a mildly warm tone, “Miss Scott, Master Sebastian asked me to take you home. Please get in.”
Sabrina got into the car.
She only looked out the car window the whole way and did not say a word.
When they arrived at Sebastian’s residence, Sabrina did not even say a ‘thanks’ to Kingston.
What was there to say?
She carried her bag and went up the elevator. She opened the door, and before she could change her shoes at the entrance, she heard someone talking in the living room.
It was a delicate, whiny, and pretentious voice. “Darling Sebastian, could I… stay over tonight?”
Sabrina tilted her head at the entrance and saw that it was indeed Selene.
